PokerGO and CoinPoker have announced a year-long online poker series worth a combined $250 million in guarantees, stretching from November 2026 through November 2027. The partnership, branded PGT Online, marks the most ambitious online push yet for the PokerGO Tour, which has run exclusively as a live circuit since its debut in 2021.
Six Series Named After PokerGO’s Biggest Live Events
PGT Online will unfold across six separate series over the twelve-month stretch, with each one named after an existing PokerGO Tour live event: PGT KickOff Online, Super High Roller Bowl Online, PokerGO Cup Online, PGT PLO Series, Poker Masters Online and PGT Championship. Only the first of the six, PGT KickOff Online, currently has confirmed dates and a guarantee attached. The remaining five series will have their schedules and prize pools announced closer to their respective launch windows over the course of 2027.
That structure effectively turns CoinPoker into the digital arm of PokerGO’s entire live tour calendar rather than a one-off partner for a single promotion, which is a significant jump in scope from the single $15.25 million series that partypoker ran with PokerGO back in 2020, the tour’s only previous online tie-in.
Inside PGT KickOff Online: $50 Million Guaranteed
The opening series, PGT KickOff Online, runs from November 8 through November 30 and carries a $50 million total guarantee on its own, a fifth of the entire year-long commitment packed into just three weeks. The series includes 50 trophy events with buy-ins ranging from as little as $44 up to $1,500, plus hundreds of smaller side events available under the PGT tab in the CoinPoker client.
Several events stand out on the schedule. The PGT KickOff itself runs November 8 with a $530 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee. The Mystery Million follows on November 15, also at $530, matching that $1 million guarantee while doubling as CoinPoker’s first-ever Mystery Bounty tournament, with a top bounty prize of $50,000. At least nine Mystery Bounty events are planned across the series, with buy-ins starting as low as $44, giving recreational players a budget-friendly way to chase a life-changing bounty hit. The PGT Sunday Grand lands November 22 at $1,050 with a $1 million guarantee, while a $1,050 High Stakes Poker event on November 26 carries a $500,000 guarantee for players looking for tougher competition. The series wraps on November 30 with three events running in parallel: the $530 KickOff Main Event with a massive $5 million guarantee, a $55 Mini Main Event guaranteeing $1 million for lower-bankroll players, and a $1,500 CoinMasters High Roller also guaranteeing $1 million. Satellites and freerolls feeding into the $5 million Main Event will be listed directly in the CoinPoker app, giving smaller stakes players a legitimate route into the marquee event without risking the full buy-in.
A Path From the Felt to Las Vegas
Beyond the prize pools themselves, PGT Online is built around a promotional structure designed to funnel online qualifiers toward PokerGO’s physical events, culminating in a $1 million tournament in early 2028 at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. Each of the six series will run its own PGT Millionaire Challenges, a layered system of promotions where some challenges award a Vegas Final seat outright, such as winning a series Main Event outright, while others earn a Loyalty Badge that enters a player into a separate qualifier draw. Players who repeat a challenge in a following series earn two qualifier tickets instead of one, rewarding players who stay engaged with CoinPoker across multiple series rather than just cashing in for a single event.
Players who do win a Vegas Final seat are not simply handed a plane ticket either. A system called the Finalist Journey lets seat winners take on additional challenges described as a way to “upgrade the live experience,” though specifics on what those upgrades entail were not detailed in the initial announcement. Winners of headline events, including each series Main Event, also receive a physical trophy shipped to their home in addition to a digital trophy added to their CoinPoker profile, a touch aimed at giving online winners something tangible to show for an online score.
Why PGT Online’s Scale Matters for the Industry
A $250 million commitment spread across a single calendar year is a notable bet on the health of online poker heading into 2027, particularly from a platform like CoinPoker that has built its reputation partly on cryptocurrency-based play. The deal also lands at an interesting moment for CoinPoker specifically, which changed its cash game rake structure in mid-October, including higher preflop rake in 3-bet pots. The operator has been clear that the new PGT Online tournament guarantees are unaffected by that cash game rake change, keeping the two revenue streams separate even as the platform adjusts its economics elsewhere.
For comparison, PokerGO’s only previous large-scale online tournament was the 2021 Super High Roller Bowl Online, which ran from May 23 to June 1 with a $20 million guarantee and was won by Justin Bonomo for $1.775 million. A Pot-Limit Omaha edition of Poker Masters Online followed later that year. PGT Online dwarfs both of those efforts combined many times over, and doing so across a full calendar of events rather than a single series suggests PokerGO wants CoinPoker to become a permanent fixture of its ecosystem rather than an occasional guest partner.
What It Means for Players
For recreational and grinding players alike, the appeal of PGT KickOff Online is the spread of buy-in levels packed into three weeks, from $44 Mystery Bounty events up to five-figure-field Main Events with seven-figure guarantees. Newer players looking to understand tournament fundamentals, including how Mystery Bounty formats differ from standard freezeouts, can review the basics in Poker Pro Academy’s how to play poker guide before committing a bankroll to the series. With five more series still to be scheduled across 2027, PGT Online looks set to become one of the most closely watched storylines in online poker over the next twelve months.
As with all online tournament series, players should set a bankroll in advance and treat these buy-ins as entertainment spending rather than guaranteed income. Players must be 18 or older, or the applicable legal age in their jurisdiction, to participate.
