This Editorial Policy explains the standards behind everything we publish at Poker Pro Academy: how we report, how we use sources, how we handle accuracy and corrections, and how we disclose the use of technology and commercial relationships.
Our mission
We exist to inform and educate poker players. Our success is measured by whether our readers understand the game and the news better after reading us — not by clicks alone.
Accuracy first
We aim to be right, then fast. Facts — results, dates, figures, names — are checked against primary or reputable secondary sources before publication. When a story is developing and details are still uncertain, we say so clearly and update as we learn more.
Sourcing
- We prefer primary sources: official results pages, operator announcements, tournament reporting on the floor, and direct statements.
- When we build on another outlet’s reporting, we credit it. We rewrite and add value; we do not copy.
- We treat unverified claims, rumours and social-media posts with caution and label them as such.
Independence and commercial disclosure
Editorial decisions are made by our editorial team, not by advertisers or sponsors. If an article contains affiliate links, sponsored content or any material commercial relationship, we disclose it plainly within that article. A commercial relationship never buys favourable coverage.
Use of artificial intelligence
We use AI tools to help draft, translate, summarise and structure content, and to monitor the news cycle. Every AI-assisted article is reviewed within an editorial workflow before publication and is attributed to a named member of our team, who is accountable for its accuracy and framing. We do not publish unreviewed machine output as fact. Our full process is described in our Methodology.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and are transparent about it. Significant corrections are noted on the article. To request a correction, email corrections@pokerproacademy.com with the article link and details.
Responsible gaming and audience
Our content is intended for adults (18+). We promote responsible play, we do not present poker as a guaranteed income, and nothing we publish is financial or legal advice. Gambling laws vary by jurisdiction; it is the reader’s responsibility to know and follow local law.
Feedback
We welcome scrutiny. If you think we have fallen short of these standards, tell us at editorial@pokerproacademy.com.
