With the Main Event held in the Bahamas for WSOP Paradise, Hellmuth leaned into the theme as the god of the sea, golden crown, sash, tunic, green hairpiece, trident, and bare feet included. He arrived on Day 1b flanked by 17 mermaids. Daniel Negreanu summed up the room’s feelings well, saying he would not do it himself but was glad Phil does.
- 2024, Karate Hellmuth. On Day 1c, Hellmuth showed up in martial arts gear and a black belt, apparently tied to a sponsorship with the Karate Combat league, escorted by Scotty Nguyen, Shannon Elizabeth, and Daniel Jungleman Cates while Kung Fu Fighting played him in.
- 2025, Highway to Hellmuth. Despite saying beforehand that the grind was too exhausting to bother, Hellmuth showed up five hours late to Day 1b as a Gene Simmons style rock star, leather jacket, leather pants, jet black hair, and a gold microphone, arriving to Highway to Hell with a small entourage of band members.
- 2026, SuperPhil. His most recent entrance was a custom superhero costume, black and gold with fake muscles, a flowing cape, a bulbous black wig, and his own logo front and center, joined by Jungleman and his two sons.
The Best and Worst of the Bunch

Karate Hellmuth landed in the middle, described as inoffensive if unremarkable. The Darth Vader onesie sits at the bottom of the pile for its lack of effort, while the rock star and superhero outfits from the last two years scored modestly, entertaining but not quite classics. One thing all six years have in common, on the felt at least, is the outcome. In every single one of these Main Events, Hellmuth failed to cash.
