You don’t always need a seat at the table to win big during the WSOP. Poker power couple Alex and Kristen Foxen proved it by winning the ODB $500 Fantasy League, a season-long game that ran parallel to the 2026 World Series and paid $100,000 to first place.
How the game worked
Fantasy players drafted rosters of real pros at different price points, plus bonus picks, and scored points based on how those players performed across WSOP events. The league attracted 1,199 teams and a $599,500 prize pool, with the top 100 finishers paid.
“Are you monica?”
Competing under the team name “Are you monica?”, the Foxens racked up 1,897 points to win by a comfortable 39-point margin. Alex Foxen was the second-highest individual scorer in the entire league with 441 points, backed by strong contributions from Calvin Anderson (385) and Martin Zamani (337), plus a canny bonus pick in Nick Palma (173 points across 16 cashes).
It’s a fun reminder that poker’s meta-games — fantasy drafts, last-longer bets and staking markets — have become a genuine part of the modern series, and that reading form can pay just as well as reading opponents.
